Oh no.....oh yes! Boyfriend jackets!

Saving for an apartment? What apartment? I can't think about saving money when there are gorgeous vintage boyfriend jackets on ebay that I must buy right now.

Gorgeous girl eh? Found them all from this great online vintage store Trendsetter Vintage.

So...should I spend just a little bit more money and get one? Or two? I really love the red one. Or should I buckle down and keep my money? Argh!

Update: I won the red blazer and the blue one (third pic down.) Can't wait to wear them!

Must have this Marc by Marc Jacobs bag

I re-watched The Rachel Zoe Project this morning because I can't get enough of it. So many beautiful clothes, so much girlishness, so much fun.
This time around I paid a bit more attention when Zoe spoke and I picked up on the not-so-subtle ad placement where she talks about her contribution to piperlime.com, the online retailer that's owned by Gap Inc.
Piperlime offers a special section called Rachel Zoe's Picks. The company sends her bags and shoes and she decides whether she likes them or not and they list those accessories for sale on the site. Apparently, according to Zoe, they sell out "in like an hour."

So I decided to go online and check it out. I wasn't feeling the shoes so much because there are a lot of platforms which aren't my style so I checked out the bags. And lo and behold I came upon this beauty. Made by Marc by Marc Jacobs, it's called the Dr Q Lil Riz and it's made of leather with a textile lining. I love that the bag has a bit of structure even though it's slouchy. The pleats are really cute and I like the handle; perfect for wearing it on my arm. The colour (dark portobello) is a great neutral that can match with a lot of colours. I die for it.

Model.Live episode 2 recap

On this week's Model.Live:

"I know Cato has a special talent but I don't know...in front of the cameras she does something different. I'm just worried about her becoming too famous." - Cato's mother.

The episode is all about the beautiful Cato, who is saying goodbye to her friends, her pizza-loving parents and her oh-so-sweet boyfriend, before she heads off to cynical New York and the evil agents who will make her a star. Her family is hesitant about this career move which is understandable seeing as how modes have been making the news lately what with all the anorexic deaths, murders and tales of torture. But who cares about that, she could be the next Gisele!

But her mom and dad bemoan the fact that their precious, naive Cato is entering a superficial profession that only cares about appearances. Well, they are right. But hey, she's not an idiot! Cato's sister makes sure we know that "she finished the highest level of education in Holland." You mean high school? And then she goes on to say something weird: "Actually they say that beautiful people are smarter because like, everything is more symmetric, even their brains." I guess Cato got all the beauty and the brains out of the two sisters.

I'm still waiting for the drama though. Where are the tears when Cato is forced to fly to another continent away from her boyfriend, Simon? Where is the tension between her and her model-hating parents?

Only near the end is there hope, when Cato says that Simon can trust that she won't cheat on him or do drugs. A premonition for what will come in the future? I hope so.

Watch the first episode here.

Update: COACD has IMG's show card of Cato

You don't want to miss this

Net-A-Porter is having a huge summer clearance sale with clothes, shoes and accessories going for 20% to 40% off. But wait, there's more! There is now an additional promotion going on. When checking out through Net-A-Porter, enter the special promotion code “Summer” and receive an additional 20% off of selected items.
Luckily, the merchandise isn't old, discarded crap that no one wants; there are beautiful clothes, like a Alexander McQueen Wing embroidered dress, an Oscar de la Renta taffeta dress and plenty of killer Jimmy Choo shoes! Let the spending begin! Help the economy! Or buy that Fendi Spy bag you've always wanted!

If I had an unlimited budget, this is what I would get:

Alexander McQueen Wing embroidered dress
Because we all want to look like an angel for a day. Plus, it's a McQueen for God's sake. And it's half off!

Oscar de la Renta Taffeta embroidered dress

Forget the little black dress. This floral number is much more fun and sexy and will make you have that waist you've always wanted.

Bill Blass Bubble hem dress

On second thought, the little black dress can be stunning with a little poof and layers. This dress is not for cocktails; it's glam events only.

Chloe Strapless pleated dress

Sigh...it's so pretty and young. I just want to wear it everywhere, in the house, to work, to a party, in my bed. I would feel like a goddess.

Jimmy Choo Lace suede sandals

Seriously, these are yummy. They are wacky but glam and would go well with my Nicole Miller satin dress.

Missoni Rope detail boots
Gah! These are so sexy! Can't you just picture yourself stomping around in these? Forget the catwalk, I have Yonge Street!

Roberto Cavalli Serpent buckle belt

I love snakes; they have beautifully-coloured scales and so are the perfect muse for jewelery. This as an arm cuff would also be gorgeous.

Bags that you can actually do grocery shopping with

There are many labels who claim that their tote bag is great for getting all your eggs, bread and cookies. I know this isn't true because these bags cost more than $1000 and no one wants to carry eggs in a $1000 bag. I go to the grocery store a lot while I'm on my lunch break to pick up stuff for the house or for lunch and I always notice the eco-friendly fabric bags they sell for $2 to encourage buyers to stop using plastic bags. I am all for eco-friendly bags and reusing them but I just wish there was a more fashionable alternative that didn't make me scared I was going to ruin it. So I have searched the purse forums and found some great bags that you can take to the supermarket.

Louis Vuitton Love Tote
Although this bag is more than $1000, it's made of cotton canvas so it's machine washable just in case those eggs do break. It's also massive, meaning you can buy as many chips as you want. Plus it's cute.

See by Chloé Rainbow Oversized Canvas Tote

This bag is also made of canvas so it's easy to clean off any dirt. It also has an internal drawstring closure for those who are afraid someone might stick their fingers inside. The Chloé graphics are very fun.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Groovee Vinyl Tote
This bag will definitely stand out from all the others; the jewel-toned colour and the bag graphic are so quirky and fun.

Tory Burch Tote
Casual but polished, this bag has lots of room.

Nina Ricci on sale!

Gilt Groupe is having a sale on Nina Ricci so hurry up and buy some beautiful clothes because the sale ends tomorrow. Olivier Theyskens is one of my favorite designers so I think it's wonderful that you can have the opportunity to purchase his gorgeous clothes for a fraction of the price.
Here are some of my picks:

Cotton Twill Notch Collar JacketI like how this jacket makes your waist look longer and the low cut means you can wear a sexy shirt underneath for after work.

Sleeveless Colorblock Halter Dress

Paillette Tunic DressPerfect for a night out on the town. Reminds me of the costumes in Brideshead Revisited. It's so Julia Flyte.

Tiered Tie-Dye Dress with TrimThe most beautiful tie-dye job I have ever seen. I love the browns.

Asymmetrical V-Neck Blouse

Sleeveless Colorblock Halter GownThe rolled neck piece is what really defines this dress. It's elegant but modern.

Collared Short Sleeve Drop Waist Dress

Style.com gets a makeover

What do you guys think of the new style.com?
I like that it looks a lot cleaner and it's easier to navigate than the old version. That being said, I don't like all of the white space; it's very similar to the blog-zine formats you see on countless other sites. I wish they took more chances with the colour and design. However the good thing about white space is that there is more room for beautiful photographs (like in the pic above) and videos and more user-friendly galleries. I am looking forward to their new features.
But guess what?? My favorite model in the world, Coco Rocha, is working for the site as a video host!

See Coco strip

At least, see her strip down to a black leather bodysuit. It's still hot.
