Goth school teacher meets rock and roll girlfriend. L'Wren Scott (also a girlfriend of the rock king, Mick Jagger) put together hip hugging dresses, painted-on skinnies, romantic billowing chiffon blouses, fitted jackets and lacy underthings in a mostly black and white collection.
A wide legged-pant, see-through lace blouse, loose jacket and embroidered wide-rim hat was reminiscent of Yves Saint Laurent's Le Smoking but with a softer, prettier side.
A pencil dress with black lace at the hem and white lace at the collar and buttons down the front makes for a modern day head schoolmaster with a sadistic side.
And a black tight dress with white cuffs and neck reminds me of a nun trying to go wild without attracting too much attention.
The silhouettes are painfully slim, meaning only a 15-year-old Olympic gymnast could fit into them so if you have hips, avoid the dresses. However the jackets, some with embroidery, others in soft leather are perfect for any shape and might even catch the attention of a certain rock singer. And the shoes? I have my eye on a pair of black lace-up booties.
The other stand-out was the hair; tousled and wavy with side bangs.
It was effortlessly beautiful and edgy.
